Here are the exact questions I ask every single runner with a stress fracture to figure out  How Bad It Really Is Right Now!
Step 1
Figure out how bad the stress fracture is, based on what is going on right now.
(so that you can make a plan to recover)
Step 2
Carefully reduce the stress and strain on the one bone that has the stress fracture.(so that the stress fracture can heal fast)
Step 3
Start training and testing so you can maintain and rebuild running fitness.         (so that you can RUN without re-injury)
